Development Log 12/13/18
Hey everyone! First and foremost I'd like to thank everyone who took the time to take a look at my project, I am really grateful!
With the release of the demo version my game I would like to keep you guys posted about the progress of the game on a weekly basis. So to start off, there are a planned 5 levels for the game in which the forest is the 2nd of the 5 levels. For the most part, many of the levels are finished, however they require more detailing. So this week my focus was to refurbish the first level of the game. I put an example of what the old level looked like below, and I think you will agree that the old version looks kind of bland and really does not feel like a town. As a fun fact, these older versions of levels were not created using parallaxing but rather were created piece by piece in the Unity Engine.
Below are what the newer versions of the levels look like using parallaxing. In my opinion they definitely look way better!
Moving forward, a bit more work on the new parallaxed levels needs to be done such as a bit more detailing and the addition of NPCs. Anyways, that's it for this week's update. I would love to hear people's comments and suggestions about the update or the game in general. See you guys next week.
